Christian Companion Employees Receive Top Honors
(OKLAHOMA CITY)- The Oklahoma Association for Home Care awarded Christian Companion Senior Care's Ava Wooten, Gayle Cameron and Rita Swonger with statewide industry accolades during the Association's 2010 Awards and Recognition Presentation and Luncheon. Wooten was awarded the 2010 Outstanding Home Care/Hospice Support Personnel of the Year while Cameron was awarded the 2010 Outstanding Home Care/Hospice Caregiver/Aide of the Year. Swonger was recognized as one of the top Outstanding Home Care/Hospice Registered Nurses of the Year.
Wooten, scheduling coordinator for Christian Companion Senior Care, has been with the company for more than a year. Her professional priorities include scheduling all caregivers, human resources functions and marketing.
Cameron has been employed as a Certified Home Health Aide with Christian Companion since 2006. She assists numerous seniors with the activities of daily life and provides companionship and spiritual encouragement.
Swonger, a registered nurse and caregiver has been with the company since 2005.
"I am proud to have these professional employees on our team," said Karen Nelson, general manager of Christian Companion Senior Care's Oklahoma City office. "Each one strives to provide the highest level of services and are constantly broadening their knowledge of the senior care and private duty industry."
Christian Companion Senior Care provides seniors with traditional in-home services such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, grooming assistance and transportation. Also, trained care-giving professionals can provide spiritual care from a uniquely Christian perspective.
Christian Companion Senior Care is based in Oklahoma City. Operations began in 2004 with a location in Oklahoma City and continued growing in 2007 with a location in Tulsa, Okla. Christian Companion Senior Care began franchising in September 2008 and currently has 31 locations in seven states.
