salads truly makes Froots a lunchtime destination.

The difference between Froots and other smoothie concepts is that Froots is actually a quick service restaurant. We are not just a juice bar or a smoothie shop, we are a healthy food destination. Invariably, when we open a Froots in a new market, customers first visit our locations to "check out the new smoothie shop in town". But when they get inside and see wraps with unique flavor profiles like Wasabi Chicken and Kingston Jerk or gourmet salads like The Beef and Blue and Chinese Chicken, they quickly come to think of Froots as a healthy alternative to traditional fast food fare. Providing our customers with a full menu of healthy offerings is what defines and differentiates the Froots Smoothies brand.
Froots Smoothie History
David Lopez designed, built and opened his first Froots in December 2001. Based on the overwhelming success of this flagship store, he opened two more Froots smoothie shops not that long thereafter. With three smoothie stores open and having obviously struck a chord with his customers, David started being approached regarding franchise opportunities. So in March 2004, Froots Franchising Companies was born and after only a few short months, the first Froots Franchise opened in Gainesville, FL. Froots smoothies is now actively bringing its healthy take on quick service restaurants to countries all over the world.
There are two types of investment opportunities with Froots Franchising. The first is franchised locations and the second, Area Director Development markets.
Our company has been set up with the first time franchisee in mind.
As a member of our franchise family, you'll benefit right away from our smoothie industry insight and experience. The franchise owner support services you'll receive include:
- Corporate Identity and Logo. You'll share in our name recognition, our logo and in our other marks. They signify our commitment to customer service and the highest standards of excellence.
- Comprehensive Training.
You'll
be trained in all aspects of our blending procedures and food
preparation, as well as administrative, office
matters, and sales and
marketing techniques. You'll receive excellent on-the-job training at
one of our sites, as well as training at your own location, prior to,
during, and after your grand opening. - Operations Manual. This is your "how-to" guidebook, containing much of the information and recipes you'll need, in an easy-to-follow format. It's an invaluable tool, one that will help you keep your franchise unit running smoothly and efficiently...for years to come.
- Site Selection. We'll provide you with guidelines and we'll assist you in selecting an appropriate location for your Froots franchise unit.
- Marketing Support. In addition to the Froots sponsored regional marketing campaign, we'll supply you with attractive, highly professional consumer marketing and advertising materials, as well as promotional and publicity ideas, which you can implement right away.
- Ongoing Franchise Service and Support. We're always available during business hours to answer your questions and address your needs. You'll be visited by a Froots field representative, and we'll offer you business advice and support.
Becoming an Area Director of Froots Smoothies is a great way to capitalize on the explosive Froots concept. Certain qualified candidates may be awarded area director development territories. Additionally Area Directors may open their own Froots location or locations.
Once an agreement is signed the Area Director will advertise for new franchisees on behalf of Froots smoothie franchise as well as developing and assisting franchisees who are operating within their assigned territory. An Area Director shares in the Froots revenue streams by receiving a 50% commission on all initial Franchise fees (other than those pre-existing franchises in the territory and his/her own Froots businesses) as well as 50% of the ongoing collected royalties from those locations. All marketing, research and development will be supported by Froots Franchising. Area Director Fees are based on the population of the selected region. An individual may purchase an entire state, or select counties within the state.
