Hotel Franchises Still Alive and Kicking

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Despite predictions that people would slow down on travel with the rising gas prices, hotel franchises are still quite popular. After all, even if you only travel to the next town, you need a place to stay!

For anyone interested in investing in a hotel or motel franchise opportunity, there are plenty of them out there. You´ll know most of the brand names, which is actually a very good thing, since it means they are already well established. People tend to stay where they feel comfortable and a glowing sign that announces their favorite hotel franchise will be more than enough reason for them to stop and stay.

When you choose a well-known hotel franchise, you will pay more than for an unknown brand. However, the amount of traffic that will come your way simply because the name is familiar to many travelers and they are going to be assured of good prices and comfortable rooms.

Hotels tend to take a bit to start up since they almost always require building a specific type of building. You usually can´t just take over a regular building and turn it into a hotel unless it was actually created for that purpose in the first place. Hotel franchises are still a good investment, however, for anyone who is willing to invest the capital and time to build one up.

Pet Franchises: Take Advantage of a Fast Growing Industry

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Pet franchises are an excellent way to get into one of the fastest growing industries in the US, increasing about 6% per year, which is big for any industry. Americans spend an average of 36 billion dollars a year on their pets . . . that´s something that pet franchises tap into, giving you a great way to earn more while providing a useful service.

Pet franchises growing

With over 63% of American households including at least one pet, there is more than enough demand for the services provided by franchise opportunities like Pet Butler, a pet waste management business. Other franchises cater to the more delicate side of pets, with mobile pet salons and luxury hotels for animals who need a place to stay while their humans are on vacation.

People are having children later and later in life, if at all and that gives rise to treating their pets like children, buying them expensive clothing, toys and organic food. But while these pampered pets have humans with lots of money, they don´t have a lot of time, which is where animal care franchises come in.

Services like Pet Butler save owners time. When you start up with a franchise like this, you´ll be helping pet owners do what they love to do best . . . spoil their pets!

Home Care Franchises Offer Non-Medical Aid

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

There are plenty of situations when people need home care that isn´t necessarily medical in nature. Home care franchises are the perfect solution for anyone who is in this situation. For those interested in investing in a franchise that makes a major difference, home care franchise opportunities are really a great way to go.

Home care is a booming business with so many people reaching retirement age and discovering that living on their own isn´t necessarily as possible as it was when they were younger. There are many tasks that can be difficult for the elderly and home care franchises offer an alternative to living in a home, which is often something to avoid.

However, home care franchises don´t just cater to the elderly. You can also find home care franchises that offer services to anyone who finds themselves unable to perform their daily tasks, whether that be a pregnant woman confined to bed or someone recovering from a fractured leg. You don´t have to have medical training to get them through this period, and all training needed will be provided by the franchise. This means that just about anyone who is interested can get started in a home care business.

New Number for Mike Harmon in 2008

ARCA RE/MAX Series veteran Mike Harmon, who finished 14th in the final driver’s point standings in 2007, has announced a new partnership with Florida-based Elite 2 Sports and Entertainment. Harmon will pilot the No. 24 D.A.B. Constructors, Inc. Chevrolet for Elite 2 Racing in the ARCA 200 at Daytona, marking a departure from the familiar No. 38 that Harmon has driven in previous seasons.

“I’m certainly looking forward to the start of the 2008 season and the ARCA 200,” Harmon said. “I have a new 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that will be powered by Rhyne Competition Engines for this race. I’m also grateful to D.A.B. Constructors, Inc., RedHotFranchises.com, The Daily Buzz, and the Nick Jones Foundation for their support. The ARCA events at Daytona are always very competitive, but we’re excited about our chances with Elite 2 Racing.”

Harmon plans to compete in selected ARCA RE/MAX Series events as well as the NASCAR Nationwide Series for Elite 2 Racing in 2008.
